About the activity:

The painter Diego Rivera was born on December 8, 1886 in Mexico. He was one of the most famous Mexican painters, and helped establish the Mexican Mural Movement. He has painted murals internationally, in cities including Mexico City, San Francisco, Detroit, and New York City. Diego Rivera created several paintings depicting people with calla lillies, a flower from native to Mexico. Today, you will be creating a drawing of yourself with calla lillies, in the style of Diego Rivera’s “Flower Seller” from 1941.
