About the activity:

Create your own paper collage mosaic inspired by the artist Alma Woodey Thomas! Alma Woodsey Thomas debuted her abstract work in an exhibition at Howard University in 1966 at the age of 75. Thomas became an important role model for women, African Americans, and older artists. She was the first African American woman to have a solo exhibition at New York’s Whitney Museum of American Art. For this project you will need paper (any old magazines or junk mail works), scissors, and glue.
