P.S. ARTS Named “2023 Top-Rated Nonprofit” by Great Nonprofits

Los Angeles, California – November 6, 2023 — P.S. ARTS is proud to have been awarded one of the first Top-Rated Nonprofits Awards of 2023 from Great Nonprofits, the leading website for community recommended nonprofits. Great Nonprofits enables great nonprofits to harness their most authentic and most effective advertising through testimonials from people who work up close to the organization. The personal stories and reviews shared by individuals in support of P.S. ARTS can be viewed at https://greatnonprofits.org/org/p-s-arts.

Over three decades, P.S. ARTS has grown from serving 285 students in one school to more than 30,000 students across 17 school districts. Designed by a team of educators, psychologists, and artists, P.S. ARTS programs advocate for advancing equity and opportunity to children and students in public schools. P.S. ARTS programs include arts instruction, arts-based educator training, and community engagement events – all of which support creativity, compassion, confidence, and belonging for generations to come.

“We are particularly honored to be named a 2023 Top-Rated Nonprofit as this recognition reflects the positive impact that our work has on the students we serve,” says John Lawler, P.S. ARTS CEO.

The Great Nonprofits Top-Rated Awards are the only awards for nonprofits determined by those who have direct experience with the organizations – as donors, volunteers, and recipients of aid. One review wrote,

“I am a parent volunteer at Walgrove Elementary and the P.S. ARTS theater program at our school has been an incredible and life changing experience for students and parents alike! Our theater program is truly the gem of our school. Most of the kids want to be a part of it in some way whether it’s, on stage, back stage, costumes or curtains it brings the whole community together. It sparks so much joy and excitement. We feel incredibly grateful to have the PS Arts theater program on our campus!”

Great Nonprofits is the largest donation website for nonprofits and where people share stories about their personal experiences on more than 1.6 million charities and nonprofits.
