Last month P.S. ARTS staff members joined Create CA for their Cocktail Party Fundraiser honoring Austin Beutner and his role in developing Prop 28!
Mr. Beutner spoke about what it took to get the bill on the ballot, and the stories he heard from early supporters, who explained why they feel the arts are such an important subject in school, and how it transformed and guided their lives. He then went on to
speak about what the bill entails and the need to hire more teachers to deliver arts programs in schools. P.S. ARTS looks forward to supporting this effort as we expand our Educator Development programs.
All in all it was a great event filled with music, laughter, and hope for the future of arts education in California schools. Thank you Create CA for putting on such a beautiful event, we are proud to support your mission!
