To celebrate Giving Tuesday, we asked some of our most ardent supporters why they choose to support to P.S. ARTS. Check out what our Trustee, Eric Hall, had to say about the value and power of the arts.

How and why do you support P.S. ARTS?

I support P.S. ARTS because all children deserve the opportunity to explore their own personal creativity through a high-quality arts education.

Do you have any specific memories of the arts or an arts teacher that impacted your life?

My elementary school art teacher opened my eyes to the possible by showing me that in the arts, there is no one right answer and that the exploration of art is the ultimate goal. She also taught me that art has an amazing ability to bring together diverse members of society who share common interests, whether that be through dance, music, or visual arts.

If you could give a P.S. ARTS student one piece of advice, what would it be?

Find the arts discipline that you like best, and push yourself to explore and grow within it through classes, online research, or simply with friends and family. A family collage can be a very inspirational thing to have as you make your way through life, reminding you of the support system you have around you.
