P.S. ARTS is grateful to Nickelodeon and their community efforts team (NICE) for donating hundreds of high-quality art kits to students and families in our programs after the L.A. wildfires earlier this year. These kits were distributed to students at Odyssey Charter School in Altadena who were relocated to Pasadena, students at the temporary campus for Altadena Arts Magnet, families who attended our P.S. ARTS in the Park event at Tumbleweed Day Camp (serving those affected by the recent wildfires), and more P.S. ARTS students and community members.
Each art kit included a Nickelodeon tote bag, drawing and painting supplies, as well as swag. These supplies brought joy and opportunities for creativity to the students who received them, giving them the tools to express themselves through art—especially during times of transition and recovery.
We are thankful to Nickelodeon and NiCE for making this possible, and to all of our partners and team members who helped ensure these kits reached students and families throughout our community, making a lasting impact through the power of the arts!
