P.S. ARTS’ Programs Associate Lucas Esperanza.
Hello!

I’m excited to share that I was recently selected as one of ten participants to be a part of Arts for LA’s ACTIVATE Emerging Arts Leaders cohort, a leadership development program that provides hands-on community organizing experience for the next generation of leaders. During this nine-month long program, participants are given opportunities to organize the wider Arts for LA field and expand not only their own network but also Arts for LA’s network through new partnerships, participant engagement, and outreach to guest speakers.

In addition to pursuing my trajectory as a leader in the arts within my work at P.S. ARTS, I can’t wait to expand such endeavors further with another Los Angeles-based arts advocacy organization that engages in impactful community engaged efforts. Some events in particular that I am excited to help organize includes Arts for LA’s collaboration with The Music Center’s “On The Record” event coming up this summer as well as the State of the Arts Summit event taking place in the fall. I am exhilarated for all the brilliant opportunities for growth and community engagement that lie ahead and, among all, I cannot express the gratitude I have for all the support that P.S. ARTS has provided in this journey.
