Briefly introduce yourself and explain your position at P.S. ARTS.
Hello! My name is Karen Ramirez, and I am very excited to join the P.S. ARTS team as the program assistant! I provide administrative and logistical support to our programs team and in-school faculty.
What book is currently on your nightstand?
Soledad by Angie Cruz. It is such a powerful novel, and I think everyone should read it if they find the chance. It’s heartbreaking at times but the main character is so strong!
What is currently the most played song you’ve been listening to?
“DANCE” by DNCE. It’s just catchy!
Where is your favorite place to view or take part in art in Los Angeles?
I went to the LA Art Exchange recently, and it was a lot of fun getting to know artists who are trying to get a start in their careers. I love places where artists can sell their crafts.
What famous person, either dead or alive, would you choose to take out for coffee?
Jorge R. Gutiérrez! He spoke at my university once, and I was so enthralled by his journey. I would love to hear more stories about his life and art!
