Join us for the next Artist Educator Connect on May 22 and gain new insights on how incorporating improvisation into education can empower students to become more creative, resilient, and engaged learners.

In this session, participants will explore how improvisational strategies—drawn from theater, music, and movement—can support classroom environments that foster curiosity, collaboration, and adaptability. Whether you’re a teaching artist, classroom teacher, or artist, or education advocate, come ready to share, reflect, and discover how spontaneity and play can lead to powerful learning outcomes.

This Artist Educator Connect will feature guest presenter Emily Button from Enrichment Works, an award-winning actress, writer, voiceover artist, director, and producer who has performed in over seventy plays, films, commercials, and TV shows, including a recurring role on NBC’s Days of Our Lives. Emily has collaborated with renowned artists such as Paul Sills, Mike Nichols, and George Morrison. A seasoned improviser, Emily has performed with several improv groups at venues like The Comedy Store and The Improv, and has taken the stage as a stand-up comic across Los Angeles. In 2020, she was a semifinalist in the Austin Film Festival screenplay competition. Emily is a graduate of Williams College and holds an MA in Acting from the New Actors Workshop in New York City.
