P.S. ARTS To Go! Fredun Shapur Playsacks with Mr. Oscar

About the activity:

Make a stylized animal Playsack inspired by the artist Fredun Shapur! Shapur is a South African born toy designer and illustrator who is known for his distinct designs involving geometric shapes filled in with bold blocks of solid color. He created these Playsacks as a toy costume for kids, and today we will create our own with just a few materials. For this project you'll need: a brown paper bag, acrylic or tempera paint, something to write with, and scissors.

Materials needed:

  • grocery paper bag
  • tempera or acrylic paint
  • marker
  • scissors
