Meet P.S. ARTS’ newest Program Coordinator, Masis, who recently joined our team. Find out what Masis is listening to and learn about their interests through the interview below.

I’m Masis Aghilian (He/Him), and I’m excited to join the P.S. ARTS team as an Extended Learning Program Coordinator. With over 13 years of experience in the field of extended learning, I am deeply passionate about creating programs that empower youth, encourage them to step out of their comfort zones, and help shape them into strong, engaged members of our communities.

In addition to my work with P.S. ARTS, I am a visual artist with a love for painting, particularly with acrylics. I find great joy in the creative process, and I strive to bring that same sense of creativity and expression to the young people I work with every day.

I’m thrilled to be part of such an inspiring organization and look forward to contributing to the growth and development of the next generation.

What song do you have on repeat right now?
I tend to rotate through several songs on a daily basis, but at the moment, one of my favorites is “Dusk Till Dawn” by Zayn and Sia. I’m particularly drawn to old-school R&B and hip-hop, which are genres I listen to regularly.

What famous person, either dead or alive, would you choose to take out for coffee?
If I had the opportunity, I would love to have coffee with Steve Irwin. I grew up watching his shows on Animal Planet, and his passion for wildlife conservation had a significant impact on my own love for animals. I would be fascinated to hear about his mission and explore how we can continue his legacy, even though he is no longer with us.

What hobbies or interests do you have outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in nature, whether it’s hiking or rollerblading. I also love bonding with my pets—Haze, Safari, and Arugula—which is always a source of joy and relaxation for me.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
If I could travel anywhere, I would choose to visit Australia, specifically the Australia Zoo. As one of my childhood heroes, Steve Irwin’s legacy lives on through his zoo, and it’s a place I’ve always wanted to visit to further connect with the passion he inspired in me for wildlife conservation.
