This month, P.S. ARTS is highlighting a variety of events and activities that support our local arts organizations and inspire community members to explore the city. Los Angeles has long been a hotspot for creativity and the arts, and this year, we’re excited to shine a spotlight on the events that make the season so vibrant.

Learn about and engage with the arts in Los Angeles this June!

Sunday, June 7, 10 am – 5 pm @ The Getty Villa: Villa Family Festival: Ancient Egypt

Celebrate the stories, symbols, and spirit of ancient Egypt at this lively, family-friendly festival. Enjoy live Egyptian music that evokes the sounds of historic Cairo, alongside DJ sets, hands-on art workshops, and interactive experiences that bring the past to life in creative and unexpected ways. From crafting your own “Book of Life” to weighing your “heart” on a larger-than-life scale, visitors of all ages are invited to explore, create, and discover together in a day filled with music, imagination, and fun. This is a free event.

Sunday, June 7, 11 am @ Bay Nimoy Studio: 826LA@Hammer: Worldbuilders: Adventure Architects

Using Collective Journey Storytelling students will learn how to plan a story where instead of just one hero doing everything, a whole group works together to make change. Students will create their own story where a community works together, and the audience gets to move through the story like they are inside the adventure.

Led by Justin Stucey, a Los Angeles–based experiential designer and creative producer with a 25-year career spanning collaborations with Walt Disney Imagineering, Meow Wolf, BMW Americas, MTV, and others. This is a free event, RSVPs encouraged.
