This spring marks our 6th Teaching Artist Seasonal Intensive and almost 100 artist educator participants served!
In mid-March, we welcomed 23 new trainees across multiple disciplines (visual arts, music, dance and theater) to our hybrid two-week training intensive with the goal of developing both the pedagogical concepts and practical skills needed as a teaching artist.
We were inspired and impressed with the participants from their first interviews and each day of the training has brought courageous conversations, a-ha moments, and collaborative visioning for a standards-based arts experience that is rich with cultural relevance, accessible to all learners, and student-centered.
We can’t wait to see what these incredible artist educators bring to their present and future communities!
