P.S. ARTS is commemorating Latinx Heritage Month from September 15 – October 15, 2021. September 15 was chosen as the national start date of Latinx Heritage Month (or Hispanic Heritage Month) because it is the independence anniversary for Latin American countries Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. Mexico and Chile celebrate their independence days on September 16 and September 18. Latinx Heritage Month is a time to appreciate and celebrate the cultures, rich histories, and diversity of the American Latinx community.

Follow us on social media for P.S. ARTS To Go! projects that highlight Latinx artists and creatives. Celebrate at home by learning about Latinx artists and creating art of your own inspired by their work, or learn a new dance or song in Spanish with our P.S. ARTS To Go! projects and many more!
