Los Angeles has long been a hotspot for creativity and the arts, and this year, we’re excited to shine a spotlight on the events that make the season so vibrant.

Saturday & Sunday December 6-7, 11 am – 5 pm @ Craft Contemporary – Marker’s Market

Join Craft Contemporary for a festive shopping weekend showcasing a curated selection of exceptional, one-of-a-kind contemporary craft and design by LA-based makers! Free, all-ages workshops will take place through the weekend, including a 3D paper snowflake and finger puppet making activity.

Sunday December 14, 11 am @ Hammer Museum x 826LA – Pitch and Write! My First Opinion Piece: A Workshop for Kids Who Have Something to Say

Led by Ralinda Harvey Smith, a writer whose opinions and essays have been published in Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, and Huffington Post, this workshop will hone your writing skills and amplify your voice in op-ed style writing. Learn how to think critically and communicate clearly and from the heart.

Saturday December 20, 12 pm – 4 pm @ Lacma – NexGenLA Creative Pathways: MacArthur Park Mini Piñata Making

Unleash your imagination in LACMA’s drop-in art studio, cozy reading corner, and mini piñata making workshop hosted by NexGenLA, LACMA’s free membership for kids under 17 years who live in L.A. County.

Every Saturday & Sunday , 2 pm – 5 pm until December 31 @ Armory Center – Creativity & Community Care Room Hours

Members of the community are invited to stop by the Armory for a hot cup of tea or coffee, art-making activities for all ages, and a place to find community or rest for a few moments. Free Wi-Fi is available along with free art supplies.
