Lawndale Arts Festival
More than 500 people from across the Lawndale
Elementary School District attended a fun-filled family day with interactive arts projects,
demonstrations, and theater, dance and music performances. The Lawndale Arts Festival,
made possible through a partnership between Lawndale Elementary School District (LESD)
and P.S. ARTS, showcased the communityʼs efforts to promote the sustainability of the arts in
public schools. Also in support of the event were the Lawndale Council PTA, the Los Angeles
County Arts Commission, Arts for All, The Green Foundation and The Herb Alpert Foundation.

Created and hosted by Elizabeth Stewart, George Kotsiopoulos, along with P.S. ARTS friends including Kristin Davis, Zooey Deschanel, Lori Loughlin, Katy Perry, Reece Witherspoon and Rachel Zoe, this 2010 event was held at the Brentwood estate of Kristen Buckingham.

More than 200 designer handbags are donated to this invitation-only event.  Guests perused bags that are auctioned at up to 60% off the retail price with 100% of the proceeds going to P.S. ARTS.  A highly coveted invitation to this event allows access to some of the world’s most exclusive designer handbags, exquisite cosmetics and amazing jewelry.  In addition to an afternoon of guilt free shopping, guests enjoy a gourmet bag lunch.

Yale Day of Service at Grand View Elementary School
Yale University sponsored a global Day of Service, where alumni around the world joined together to volunteer in their local communities.  More than 60 Yale graduates and family members gathered at P.S. ARTS school site, Grand View Elementary School, to restore a vandalized mural.
